Janek Stempel, born in 2003, is a photographer and a visual journalist based in Hannover and Prague.
He has a strong interest in Eastern Europe and its political landscape, especially how Russia affects European countries and the everyday lives of people from the region.

Janek is a student of Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography at the HS Hannover since 2023.
Since March 2025, he has also been in charge of the program's Instagram account @visualjournalism.de.

He is a member of the Fotobus Society.
